Re: Hood Stripes, or No Hood Stripes?

I'd like to know when the side stripes will become available and if anyone has see them. That would set the car apart too!

There are two pictures of the stripes in the August issue of MOPAR Action. One is a black bumblebee tail stripe and one is a side T/A stripe (heritage stripe graphic). I, personally, prefer the T/A stripe.

Re: Hood Stripes, or No Hood Stripes?

I'm wondering about the 3M protective clear tape which I have had on both of my last two cars and has worked wonderfully to protect the front end. If the new stripes on the '09s are flat black, the tape would make them gloss black, which would not be good. Any thoughts on this?

I use pledge on the old 3m vinyl stripes and billboards on '71 cuda's, works great.

I don't like it either. It looks like the stripe from a mid-70s Road Runner.

They are easy to maintain and yes you should wax them. I have a friend that is the business of putting stripes on cars and what not. Its very simple. Id say get the stripes because its no extra cost, and if you dont like them just remove them later. It would only take 20-30 mins to peel them off.
