Re: How to escalate order??

Well I was able to speak with the factory rep yesterday in person she was on site. She also showed me this way cool Challenger accesory book, has more stuff than the PDF floating around, but no pricing yet. She mentioned it will probably be an option code on new orders, but not until about Sept.

And it is more who you know. Since I am at BX status and it is an order, not a stock unit. She said those do take priority.. As for the 08 delays she said there have been several quality control issues, and that the factory wants the cars right before they go to the dealers.

Many times cars are just let go from the factory and it is the dealer that has to fix them. I know since I worked for Dodge for 5 years, and GM for 15. We used to see many dealer / factory pre-delivery recalls.

Anyway since I am in the thick of doing the IT PC work for this group of 11 dealers (lucky me for once) she is going to try and push the order through faster. That said I was one of the 1st to order an 09, in the top 100 according to what she pulled up.

And I am sure buckets of money would help too.

Still as some have mentioned here, there are those that were probably in the top of the 08s and still have no car..

I am sorry to hear that for everyone.

Re: How to escalate order??

First, never go in smoking a cigar wearing a panama Jack hat and saying "do you know who I am?" That never works.

I think this experience for most of us in here was to learn patience and I have definately learned that. I was ready to place the order in January of 07 and could put the official order in until December 07, it is now almost July and it is not here. Am I mad, no because this was something that Dodge could have never built and if I have to wait a year, two or three I will.

It will be like a fine wine when you get it, the best stuff does not come out of a cardboard box, (ie, Kia, Hyundai etc.) No offense to those cardboard wine drinking types. I am a beer drinker also and drive my beer drinking quality truck too. (not at the same time)

We will all raise a toast and cheer when your car arrives.

Good luck and dont give up on your quest.

I ordered in mid-may and have both scheduled (SRT's) for the first week after break (C status).

Re: How to escalate order??

Was told friday by a vendor in mopar restoration bussiness that Jay paid whoever was getting #4 big $$$$$$. As for what number you got,its luck of the draw. Was told dealers are grouped according to size of dealer sales. Volume of sales doesn't matter as long as you are a 5 star dealer selling your SRT quota. So small dealer might have the advanage. We did and got #35. Have already had a offer from a party 50% above what we paid for it.NO SALE. She will not sell!!!! at all. True collector with mopar blood.
