A huge complaint to you Dodge!!!

My family and I attended perhaps the largest car show in the United States this Saturday at the Woodward Ave Dream Cruise in Detroit, MI. It was a strange thing, something appeared to be missing from the Dodge show case....hmmmm what could that be? Gee the friggen Challenger was missing thats what!!!!! I was so pumped to see this car in person and to find out that it was still in Pebble Beach, CA!! Are you kidding me? The firepower was there, and other Dodge concepts were there, but nooooooooooooo....not the Chally!!

What's even worse than the Chally not even being there, the Camaro was there!!!!!! The camaro will be on the updated platform....the same platform as the newly designed...GTO. Yup, you heard me right, the GTO is going to be redesigned and sold per the guy at the booth. You heard it here first!!

For shame Dodge, for shame! Missed out on a huge marketing forum, and let Chevy get one over on ya.

Ok rant over

p.s. I'm still getting one.

Re: A huge complaint to you Dodge!!!

I hear ya man, I was at the Kansas City auto show last April, assuming the new Challenger would be there all psyched to see it but it turned out to be MIA... the 5th gen Camaro was there so at least the experience wasn't a total loss. But they did have an all new CALIBER for us to look at...

Oh well; guess you'll have to keep peering at the Challengertalk.com great pictorial gallery...Mr. D. J.'s especially...maybe look at Burningman's drawings..maybe even re-read articles at dodge.com...so -so sad ..

Re: A huge complaint to you Dodge!!!

The word on the Street is that the goat will be back in '09 on the same platform as the Camaro. Nobody knows what the details are. Given the above Mopar stupidity I will have to look carefully at the upcoming shows to see if the Chally will be there.

Re: A huge complaint to you Dodge!!!

Well like I said, the guy who was showing off the camaro said that the GTO was going to be on the same platform as the Camaro. He said the Camaro should be out in '08?!!

I suggest any car fan go to Detroit for the Woodward Ave Dream Cruise. All I can say is WOW!!!

Some guy had a beautiful 'Cuda for 99,500. What a car!!!!

Re: A huge complaint to you Dodge!!!

I was at the Dream Cruise also, and was very disappointed not to see the Chally. There's not one at the Chrysler Museum, either.

Re: A huge complaint to you Dodge!!!

as of right now everyone, there is ONLY 1 concept challenger....if you didn't know chevy has i believe 2 cars, but one is a non-driver, maybe a clay model.?, clay and hot weather don't go good, it would damage the model.

What did you think of the Super Bee charger? Also, I thought the "Raleye" (spelling?) Caliber" was sweet as hell.

Great show, just wish it didn't rain.

P.S if you saw the Red 1970 Pontiac Catalina 400 that was us!!
