General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
The funny thing is, it was exactly how I thought it would happen. A group of cars speeding, and he singled me out. I had a truck in front of me and a truck behind me. We had been driving the same speed for a few miles, in that order. I see a state trooper going the other direction and immediately look down at the speedo: 62 in a 55.
I look in the rear view mirror and he's whipping around, flies up on the guy behind me, who pulls over, and the trooper flies up on me so I pull over. Of course I'm the one he wanted! Why pull over a pickup truck when you can tag an orange Challenger instead!
Then he accuses me of going 72, which I KNOW was a lie, and I told him so. After he grabs all my papers/license and goes to his car, my husband bitches at me for arguing with the cop. I'm sorry, I'm not going to admit to going 72 when I was going 62! He came back and gave me a warning. Huh... if I was actually going 72, you think he would have given me a warning? Total BS.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I just got a warning, but it pissed me off that he lied about how fast I was going. I guess he just wanted to scare me.

Nope, and he had to have seen that since he saw me from the other direction.
I guess I lucked out there too.
Or maybe he really did just want to check out the car. He didn't comment on it, but he did lie about how fast I was going, and come to think of it my radar detector never went off so I don't think he had a clue how fast we were actually going...

Seems to me they pick on the newer model cars at times, as they know the owner is a good cash pop.
I had this same thing happen in my magnum when they first came out almost identical to your episode.I however got the ticket as everyone in my pack was going faster than I.
WTH??
The officer was hiding in the cat tails down in the ditch and how he singled my out I have no idea other than it was newer car than the others around me.
Silver stuck out so Im sure that didnt help either.
Shake it off ,and have fun..Legally of coarse.
Keep on keepin on...

Yeah I suppose that could be it too.
I just feel like I'm driving around with a target on my car, singled out of the pack. I wouldn't be surprised if that has happened to a lot of Challenger owners who got pulled over.
