i got my ticket a about a month ago
I pull up on a light as it is turning red set there the whole light it turns green i go as i start rolling and make my turn out of no where comes a county Mountie, I pull over he comes up we got a 911 dispatch call of a blue car passing on the shoulder and speeding and i clocked you @87 in a 55 and following to close(there was 3 total blue cars at the light but mine was the newest.
To my self I'm like what BS on the speeding following to close maybe when leaving the light yea and where he said he clocked me is a known spot where they set and wait he wasn't in that spot when i went by.
needless to say i got the wreck-less driving in court i asked where is the video of this all cars in the county have came Judgewas like the ticket is all the proof i need and i walked out the court Pissed 350 bucks and 6 months probation for setting at a red light at the wrong time in the wrong color car that was to new

He may have pulled you over just to make sure the car wasn't stolen?

Hey I feel the same. Sucks but I guess it comes with the territory so true yet so BS.

That's why my husband got mad at me. He said I was being argumentative and would get a ticket - where as if I just apologized for speeding he would just give me a warning. I said I refuse to apologize when he's accusing me of going 10 faster than I was!
As a 20 year LEO I can only say, next time take your husbands advise. Most people write their own tickets by being argumentative. He didn't need an admission from you that you were speeding in order to write the ticket. He'd issue it anyway if he thought it was deserved. He gave you a warning so be glad because he probably belived that you didn't realize that you were speeding and gave you the benefit of the doubt. If he was wrong and you were not speeding , argue your case in court, that's what it's there for. Anyway as a fellow challenger owner, I'm glad for you that you didn't get the ticket.

I am happy for you in recieving just a warning. Ha, I worked as a LE in So. Cal for over 20 years and recieved a citation two weeks ago by a County deputy on a Motorcycle. He had a chip on his shoulder I think. He said his radar showed me doing 70 in a 55 zone. I could not argue that. I tried to explain that I just had an 18 wheeler throw a rock across my hood and I was afraid he his tires would pick up more rocks and crack my windshield. The deputy did not care for my explaination so I just shut up. His partner arrived and noticed a bulge in my vest pocket, he asked, is that a gun. I replied yes it is. I am a retired Cop and work part-time for the State. He asked his partner writing the citation,What is he doing. The deputy said "he has an attitude,he knows how it is out here." Well,, now I am on my way to Court to plead guilty and request Traffic School to keep my record clean. Damn, I hate going to court. When you retire, you hope never to have to go to another courtroom ever.

Didn't you get nailed by someone running a red light shortly after this quote was made?

Happens all the time, consider it a sort of badge of honor for driving a hot car, the type that draws LE's attention.

At least you got a warning! I've been pulled over a lot and have never been given a warning; tickets every time. I've done driver re-training 5 times, and i hope to never go back!

Yep. The incident being pulled over was on Sunday. I made this thread Tuesday morning, and Tuesday night I got hit by the red light runner. I was not having a good week. :|
