I will be driving a protype challenger in minutes...

I will be driving a Black SRT8 Challenger in a few short minutes. I loaned my GT500 to an aftermarket performance shop for a photo session. They have a prototype challenger on loan to design some aftermarket mods. They will be showing me thier gratitude by letting me take a ride in the Challenger!!!!

Pictures will follow...I promise!!!

Re: I will be driving a protype challenger in minutes...

My sister in law got to drive a Challenger last weekend. Her and my brother went to BeaveRun (in PA) to check out One Lap of America because they knew the Challenger would be there.

Well, since they had wrecked the Vanishing Point Challenger, they had an orange one there. My bro and SIL got to talking to the guys (Ralph Gilles & Erich Heuschele) - and it turns out that the orange Challenger they're driving now is actually Ralph's personal car (and the #9 production Challenger off the line).

You can see some pics of the car and a video of it on the track here.

I also have a vid of her in the car driving it. Basically Erich handed her the key and let her drive it around the paddock since they had a couple minutes before they had to have it on the track.

I think she still has a grin on her face.

I drove the prototype Challenger!!!
It was a bit beat up but it was just like driving the Charger SRT8.
The back seat was smaller than I thought it would be but overall an awsome car!!!

I tried to post some pics but the file was to big. I tried to save one of the pics as my signature...hope it works!!

Re: I will be driving a protype challenger in minutes...

Nice cornering at speed thats what I wanted to see !
There was a few mustangs at the track this past weekend and man I wasn't impressed at all they ran very slow and slid off line in the corners like a snail sliding off a stick of butter.

I'm liking what I see no body lean to mention at all as the SRT8 took those corners and stayed don line like a champ!

yea the SRT8's have incredible suspension, especially considering they are over 4000lbs. i was totally suprised when i test drove my charger. It sticks like glue in the corners.
