Don't base your decision on this guy's impression of the 6-speed. He is a college student- not a Dodge engineer.

Re: Just drove an SRT manual prototype

Im just really disappointed with that interior. Plain Jane- it looks like it could have been from an Avenger.

I sure hope the '09s get a little upgrade.

I agree, especially based on a useless 11-word review: "the 6 speed doesnt feel any crisper or faster than autostick."

Don't shoot the messenger.....I thought I would share. I am not impressed with the opinions or the sticker falling off the dash.

Re: Just drove an SRT manual prototype

I'll be sure and drive one myself when they come out. I don't know how anyone can say they like the autostick over a manual!

Re: Just drove an SRT manual prototype

the autostick is REALLY nice. It shifts really firm, and very quick. You will be surprised when you drive it. The only thing i dont like about it though is that it wont downshift as far as it could sometimes. for example, at 65mph it wont shift down to 2nd at full throttle even though that gear is good till almost 85mph. So it feels like youre bogging a little. other than that, the autostick is great

Re: Just drove an SRT manual prototype

I'll still take the manual any day, especially on a car that will be driven at full throttle.

I have the Charger with the autostick and as great as it is for the daily drive through rush hour traffic, the transmission constantly searching for the right gear gets old real quick.

Re: Just drove an SRT manual prototype

I too have the Autostick in my 300C and it's pretty cool, it's been a while since i've had a stick car so i think i'll be getting mine that way.
