I do not know why I have heard about the neutral thing.

Thanks, I've never driven one and was just curious on how it worked.

Re: Just drove an SRT manual prototype

Kelsey, It really is a pretty nice setup....once I got the predator.....It shifts hard and fast. Prior to the predator I thought it was kind of mushy.

The stock programming is very tame on the 5.7's

The predator is a device for programming for the 5.7 and 6.1 hemi motors. There are countless adjustments that the computers in these cars continually monitor.

These cars have lots of flash memory. using the predator you put a higher performance tune over the stock programs and save the stock tune so that there is no record that you modified the operating parameters.

Start here.

Diablosport Predator #7135 Dodge 5.7 HEMI Knowledgebase - Dodge Charger Forums

Basically does everything from changing the timing on 5.7s to maximize performance from 93 octane, to more fuel when you add a CAI. It also does not reduce torque prior to shifting gears.

On my Daytona it took about a .5 off in the 1/4. My personal best on street tires has been a 13.65 @ 103 prior to programming my best was 14.08 @ 99

Driving daily is much more fun too. The car barks smokes 1st and barks second pretty hard

I also am a mostly in town driver and MPG went from 14.9 to 16.5

My one highway trip with the predator, I pulled 26 MPG vs. 24 before.

Finish here
DiabloSport :: Gas and Diesel Tuning Systems

They already have the tuner available for the Challenger SRT

I purchased mine with a CAI and a thermostat for 550 including shipping.

Feel free to ask any other questions.
