I am hoping mine hits "C" staus real soon. It was ordered May 12th by Bob. Bob is a great guy and has helped me alot. Very responsive even though I have been working in China since Jan. and I am hoping I come home to a new car!

yep loved JQ, but was also told by my little birdie that status on the car can bounce around before it's time to build it, IE me going from c to d but really being in c once the break came around. Like notsure, and fred had said once the break is over progress will be swift and before ya know it we'll be driving our girls.

NOTSURE - Thanks for that info. That's what I thought, won't be any movement in status until after the break, only makes sense. I did notice on the Challenger Registry that the only two 09s in D status are automatics. I can tell you this from my many years of ordering cars (I've rarely bought one off the lot) that the hardest part of waiting for me has been the time it takes to ship the car. Most of the time during regular production and with no break it takes just as long or longer to get the car after it's built than it does to place the order and have it built. So I usually figure that once it's built I'm about half way there. For the record, the fastest I ever got a car from order placed to being in my possession was a 1978 Dodge Magnum XE, it took just 33 days.

I loved the way the car looked with those glass covers over the headlights and the interior was really cool too. I had the top engine option which was the 400 4 barrel and it was somewhat disappointing. Those were the smog pump years and everything was choked down. The car i had before was a 1976 Daytona Charger, (Chrysler Cordoba body). It had the the E68 High Perf 400 with true dual exh and no catalytic converters and no smog pump. It was the same engine the police cars of the day were getting. That car was really fast so the Magnum felt weak in comparison.
