Lug Nut Torque Spec

I've looked through the Owners Manual and cannot find the torque value for the lugnuts on the '08 Challenger. Anyone know where to find this info? I'm guessing 85 ft-lbs but would like to have the actual factory number.

Re: Lug Nut Torque Spec

The Charger manual states 110 ft/lbs. Should be the same for the Challenger.

Thanks. Number is much higher than I am accustomed to. I guess if there is no spare to change on the side of the road 115 works. Otherwise you would need a 3 foot long lug wrench! Also my experience with wheel locks has been to be careful with the torque...they generally can't handle too much.

Re: Lug Nut Torque Spec

Its the same as the Charger-110Ft/lbs. And definately DONT tighten them as much as you can as a couple of others have told you. Chrysler has a problem with the cap part off the lug expanding when you over tighten, and if you ever are in a spot you have to get them off, your lug wrench(21MM) wont go over the cap. I found this out the hard way on my '07 SuperBee. And definately dont use an impact wrench. Thats wht causes the problem.
