Mad Max Dodge challenger 30th Anniversary edition and 2 door Challenger Wagon
What I am building for SEMA and other upcoming car shows. First, a one of a kind 30th anniversary edition of the "black on black" Interceptor from the classic Mel Gibson Movie "Mad Max", planned for the last 18th months, coming to a car show near you soon. Features a 5'7 VVT Supercharged HEMI with a 6 speed trans and a though the hood functional blower-that you can turn on and off!!!!
Second a one-off 2 door Hemi Challenger wagon with a shaker hood system and all the challenger looks, finished in yellow with black inlays. These images have been copyright protected and overlaid with text to prevent unauthorized alteration. The 4 door Challenger Wagon conversion will be available in 2011 as an aftermarket conversion performed by me.
I thought the Mad Max car was an Australian version of the Ford Falcon? Love the wagon, though.
__________________ 2010 Challenger R/T Classic 6-speed - Plum Crazy Pearlcoat
EVIC and Super Track Pack are the only options
Mods: white Katzkin leather interior, Hurst shifter, Mopar WAI, Solo Performance exhaust, BT bling, custom painted engine and fuse box covers
It's all fun and games til the flying monkeys arrive
That "Mad Max" car looks awesome. Now all you need to do is get Mel Gibson to drive it right after he talks with his ex-girlfriend on the phone, and that would put the "Mad" into Max.
Dont like the mad max car but i love the challenger wagon, i know alot of people will hate it but ive been thinking about buying a dodge magnum as a daily driver and now they dont make them anymore so i think this would be perfect!!!Thanks..
That's a real bold project, and I'm sure you will get a lot of flack for making a "hemi" Ford Falcon mockup. Damn, is that really close in spirit to the original Mad Max Interceptor, though! I think you should still pay more homage to the thicker tire sidewall look, instead of the typical SEMA "look". Maybe even go with a set of really nice looking stamped steel wheels (some NASCAR rims)?...cuz in morrow-morrow land, big dubs are not going to impress so much.
The wagon is also an interesting approach. I think if you incorporate a more defined "shelf" at the beltline as it runs to the rear (like a '70 Charger), that little aesthetic kink could make it quite a looker!
It's not that I really needed 370 hp...but having 150+ hp riding shotgun at a moment's bidding w/o a 6000 rpm moonshot is what makes me feel like I'm in the right car for me. The roar of a v8 seals the deal!
The Google keyword is "ethanol-free gas". The truth is coming to light. Check out http://pure-gas.org/

Interesting; is "PaintbySimon" what you mean by "we are building" ? Who's your artist and how did you or he get the idea to do a Challenger Wagon and a 4-door Wagon ?
