Smile **ATTN FORUM MEMBERS!! Military Personnel Secret Santa** (M.P.S.S.)

Military Personnel Secret Santa

We have many active duty personnel on this forum and us folks state-side have an oppertunity to share holiday cheer with our brothers over seas.Its a great thing to be able to show our appreciation to our fellow forum members who are spending their Holidays over sea's this is how we all can help.

I thought to keep it simple here is the concept:

I'll make a thread and sticky it Titled Military Personnel Secret Santa

================================================== ========
MILITARY PERSONNEL:
1/ Service personal should leave a post with their name and items they may need only on sticky thread I created or send me a PM asap directly so to add the name to the list.
However no addressees should be posted on the forum sticky as that is private info and will be Pmed to me only ..

Military Personal Pm me your name,and mailing address only!
In title put (Active Military Personnel MPSS)

This is good so we know the numbers of persons involved and what they may need so we can help out this holiday with a gift from stateside.

================================================== ========
FORUM MEMBERS:
2/Forum members send me email with header (MPSS) and Ill assign at random a soldier who is on an on-going list.If there are more forum members than personnel registered we will double up on the entires thus soldiers will receive more than one care package.I will hope to see many register for this opportunity to show our Men and Women overseas how much we do care.
================================================== ========

(Packages will need to go out asap so please get on line asap we need to ship our packages out so they arrive for the holidays so don't wait)!Follow thru dont sign up if you dont intend to ship items out.

Nut-Shell:
So to get a service person to send a care package too you will have to email me directly so I can assign that info to you..
I suggest the package should follow common sense in what they send,and it can be anything you choose to make the holiday a bit brighter for our hard working men and women fighting for our freedom every day!

I think the fact it will be a surprise who gets who will really make this fun for all so get involved evernt if money is tight a nice card and a tin of homemade cookies goes a long way!Soldiers will register and leave items they need on their post or Pm to me,and I will forward that info to you.

Just a thought goes a long way!
CUT OFF DATE FOR TO SHIP IS NOV 15th..

================================================== ========

Re: Military Personnel Secret Santa (M.P.S.S.)

NOTSURE,

As a vet I am completely on board for this. One thing you might consider adding is get the military person to give a list of likes/wants. I have sent an awful lot of "mouthwash" to the sand box and I'll do it again. What good are cookies if what you really want or need is something different? It is Christmas afterall.

Just a thought, outstanding plan.

Re: Military Personnel Secret Santa (M.P.S.S.)

This is really cool. I was fortunate enough to be assigned a location where we don’t need anything. Others come here for a little recharge from time to time. We have great facilities for a deployed location; new construction is going on all the time. At the Weather Office we take our coffee seriously it’s the little luxury we can all get around. We invite other sections to come enjoy the good brew. We can get coffee here but we enjoy the quality stuff sent by friends and spouses. So a wish list would look like quality ground coffees, a proper coffee measuring scooper and an inexpensive thermal carafe coffee maker. You may know the type Gevalia Coffee used to give away for free when joining their service, it like a thermos inside that keeps the coffee hot instead of cooking it all day.

Most importantly though you need to send photos of you guy with the Challengers, my office knows ordering my Challenger has been the high point of this deployment, I think it would be great if they could see the Brotherhood/Sisterhood of challenger enthusiasts.

Re: Military Personnel Secret Santa (M.P.S.S.)

Pm me Brother asap.

That was my main point to share in the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood.

Please get on line with me or have your buddys do so asap..

We'd love to know that the one day was more special than any other when a care package from your forum buddies arrives.
We know you guys have alot of supplies but there is always something one could need that we all would be happy to supply as a gesture of good will.
