Re: Mopar Introduces New Hemi Performance Parts....

This is great news. Finally the new hemi can be as tough as the old 426 using factory mopar parts. The question I have is can new cars be ordered with these parts? Meaning could I check an "ultra high performance engine" box on my Challenger order form and get a 6.1L or 6.4L engine stuffed with these? Time will tell.

I would imagine you'll be able to order the 6.1 or 6.4,but I think these factory performance parts are above and beyond then what will come stock. My whole thing is,I just wish that DCX would Release The Codes for Tuning, as they seem to be sitting on these things tighter than Fort Knox! They better do something as they are playing catch-up as it is now, with the competition in the factory (and aftermarket) performance parts program. I'm glad their starting with some factory performance parts,..BUT,....Come-on DCX, get off your rigid butts and Release The Codes!!!

Re: Mopar Introduces New Hemi Performance Parts....

What are these codes you're talking about?
Like codes in an onboard computer that will unleash the full power of the hemi? Do they need to be hacked or something?

I would totally get the highest engine performance I can outta this deal. Even if it calls for paying for the extra pieces and pimping it out. Can't be more than a couple hundred bucks could it?...depending on the pieces and how many there are.

My dad has a Buick Park Avenue ULTRA. I know its like a boat n everything, but he had a Supercharger put in when he bought it, and man, does that thing friggin fly. Its gots some great acceleration (sp?). I love driving that thing and freaking people out by peeling out off the line at red lights.
I would get the most powerful stuff I could outta the Challenger when I get it.
BAM!
