Exclamation More info from Budman - Those with '09 SRT8 orders, read!

Budman (the same guy who let us know about the electronics problem that caused Chrysler to temporarily put a hold on all '08s for a few days) posted on another forum the following tidbit in an '09 Order thread:

Who knows what kind of information he'll pull from under his hat, but I figure I would pass it along.

I'd guess those that ordered 08s, then never received could possibly be given priority for 09s. Obviously, that would affect those actually ordering 09s.

Getting a hold of the 08/09 has been an experience worse than the most insane rollercoaster ride!! You never know what's coming around the corner. I don't like the sound of this one bit. What the h--- did Chrysler expect when they closed out so many 08ers? They were going to walk away silently? My hunch is that they will have first priority this time around. They should just forget their marketing plan on the SE's for a while and start pumping out the srts owed and honor the 09's ordered to date and take it from there. As always, we continue to Wait and see. Let's hope it's a positive outcome for all who have their 09 orders in.

Re: More info from Budman - Those with '09 SRT8 orders, read!

wow... getting nervous. I have my VON for an '09, Fred hooked me up day 1. This scenario (we Really don't know what it is just yet) makes the gears turn. '08 orders were for cars that only had auto transmissions. I would think that those of us with the 6 speed on order may not be affected? Yes. Let's be positive and hope for the best! Maybe if they build for all the dropped '08 orders, the rest of us '09 guys will get the 6.4L hehe! I can wish!

Re: More info from Budman - Those with '09 SRT8 orders, read!

You may be onto something with the theroy of the 6 speed 09s.
Lets all hope this is good news...
Maybe they are bumping up all srt8 production to an earlier date or only building all SRT8's instead to fill orders.
Not the news I wanted to wake up to that is for sure but as June is flying by it shouldnt be long till we have some answers asap..
Ill email Bob Fredericks asap and ask him what is up or if he has any insight on this possible issue.

Lets all hope for the best!
