i didnt think CAFE standards had anything to do with volume of vehicles. i was under the presumption that, the manufacturer takes the MPG rating of each vehicle in the line up. and calculates the average.

i could be wrong though.

I wouldn't be looking for Budman to be coming out with the information he was going to post about. It looks like this issue went another direction than he expected.

In either case, I would simply say make sure that you have a VON and are in BX order status and then you have nothing to worry about.

Going to unstick this since it's not really going to progress beyond the information contained herein already.

C'mon guys, relax. its not that big of a deal. its not like they're already building and shipping them to someone else but won't tell you how much yours is going to cost. LOL
sorry, I couldn't resist.

I sympathize guys/gals. You know I do. It sucks to have them get our hopes up and then keep changing the rules and worse when they won't even say what the new rules are going to be.

Venthos...what do you mean you think it went another direction than Budman intended? Question...I ordered my '09 SRT one week ago and it is still in BG status. (from BA) Is BX going to be coming soon? Any thoughts on how it works in Dodge's computer system?

I figured this would happen. Glad things are still in order though. I hate to hear bad news.
