The tentative date for R/Ts to be built has always been (to my knowledge) late July. Again, the keyword with this and my prior post is tentative. But, tentatively R/Ts will be built late July and some SRT8s within August.

Things may bump up a bit on the calendar if all the 08's are done by July 1st!
I'm sure they want a strong 4th quarter and these cars will do it for them as long as they hustle them out of the factory which is what I suspect may happen!
So get ready we may see our cars fatser than we once thought guys!

Talked to my dealer today, still in BX, but they said they had no allocation for SRT's this month.

Really starting to get frustrated with the whole allocation deal. Basically, I have to wait for Dodge to "get around" to my dealer.

I did notice on the Dodge dealership webpage that they have an SRT8 Challenger for sale. See new inventory at Bettenhausen Dodge | Chicago - Tinley Park - Orland Park | New, Used - Preowned Dodge Dealership | Illinois if anyone is interested in a 5-speed automatic.

I had not even noticed this on my original order so I just checked. I am 99 as well. I know this is not true though because I am the first to order a 09 Challenger through the dealership. (They did not even know the order banks opened until I informed them) Thanks to this website for keeping me informed got me 1st in line for for the 09.

Has anyone with a 09 order actually got a higher build status than BX now?

Certainly not me, stuck in the BA limbo. Sniper226, are you ordering from the same dealership cited on my post or from a dealer in Dallas?

Not sure what other dealership you are referring to but mine is in N. Dallas area. Anyone else looking for a deal (can be had for under sticker but don't tell them I said so) in the Dallas area, PM me and I will give you details.

99 is a default code guys its not to be taken as the number in line !
Dodge assigns that 99 code as a default till they approve the order .
Call your salesman and confirm this as I know this to be true!
I wnet thru this myslef a few weeks back as well !
Not to worry unless you cant trust your salesman,no way they sold 99 srt8's.

Just went to C today.
