I saw in some magazine I forget which that the r/t challenger will get the 6.4 500hp that all the srt4damilly will be getting and that the challenger srt will get a 7.0 to seperate from the other srt vehicles I don't know how true but it would make sense they had a pic to it was neon green and black

I'd say the odds of

R/T = 6.4
SRT = 7.0

for 2008 = 0.01%

For 2008 we know (99%)

SRT = 6.1

For 2009 (75%)

R/T = New 5.7
SRT = 6.1 (with 6 speed auto)

For 2010 (Purely guessing)

SE = Phoenix V6 (maybe 5.7)
R/T = 5.7 (maybe 6.1)
SRT = (6.1 maybe 6.4)
Above? = 6.4, 6.7, 7.0 ect......

Beyond 2009 anything you hear is purely conjecture at this point.

Interesting if it happens. My guess, however, is that the 2009 R/T will be the 5.7 and the SRT a higher hp 6.1. The 6.4 may come out in some special edition (and more expensive) version (possibly a 'Cuda?) late in 2009 or 2010.

I didn't know about that but the mag I saw was about a week and a half ago with a pic of the actual car that's wht I thought the new srt 6.4 was a go because the R/T challener gets a 6.4 and the monster srt gets 7.0 alll the srt line are gettin a 6.4 that's why mine is going back any newa you get on these challengers I need to know a 7.0 charger coupe I'll go out like a cowboy on his horse
