General DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the new Dodge Challenger concept. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
It is rumored that the horsepower of the 5.7 Hemi will increase to 380 in 2009, with its variable cam timing. If that is true, I wonder what the hp of the 6.1 will be? It has to jump up significantly from its present 425 hp in order to justify the extra cost and gas guzzler tax.
I just wish Dodge would give out some information! we need concrete info on prices and engines and performance specs hopefully. end of the month is near.
Well, it's 1 day to Thanksgiving and still no news from Dodge.
We were promised information on Challenger pricing and options. What gives???
Hope all had a full-filling day !!! I don't recall this .Just who did the "promising" ? Seems that still so many are axious for info that seems to have already been [at least] hinted at. The first runs are only in one color with only one engine; no less than the mighty 6.1L...'which was designed to kick !
It was reported on allpar.com that the Challenger will have HSA. See description below:
"HSA supports the driver during drive-off situations on steep slopes and improves the vehicle comfort in many everyday situations, such as stop-and-go traffic, at traffic lights or when parking. HSA is a convenient software enhancement for ESC* systems (Electronic Stability Control). When the driver releases the service brake, HSA prevents the vehicle from rolling back in the opposite direction. Driving off becomes safe and comfortable without having to use the parking brake."
Remember when you couldn't use the parking brake cause it was on the floor?
Remember when you had to know how to drive???????
All this crap adds to the price! Who needs it?
