Re: More Rumors

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

They ruined it!!!

If this is the new look of the Challenger...I will not buy one no matter what else they do with the rest of the car!!!! All the important proportions are changed! I sure hope Chrysler did not do with the Challenger what they did with the Charger...NOT DELIVER WHAT THEY PROMISE! This time, if these pictures are exact... I AM GONE! I sure hope Chrysler did not drop the ball again!!! We will know for sure in February 2008...but now it sure looks bad...both the car and the situation!

I agree, but aren't those only from a non Chrysler source and just a mock-up play type of computer aided/enhanced graphics ?

Re: More Rumors

Usually those mock-up type play of computer graphics are very near or on the mark. This sure looks like bad news! Time will tell! I hope the computer who made those graphics has a virus, is completely off... and itself and all its descendants suffer a painful, complete and final destruction by fire in the nearest future.

Re: More Rumors

Did anyone else read the rest of the thread? Someone further down said the photoshopped pictures have nothing whatsoever to do with the production challenger. In fact they said the production challenger looks BETTER than the concept. I guess it just depends on which rumors you want to believe.

I don't think that post was posted when I read that thread/post ! Yeah, all it is, is one playing around with the photochopper/colorizer/moderator. Heck, when I saw that blue one that 'moves in & out ; I thought maybe Bart Simpson was at the controls !! !!!!!!

Re: More Rumors

That photoshop deal was just somebody guessing at what was beneath the shrouds from the spy shots. Admittedly, the should be able to get a pretty accurate depiction of the outline. But who knows how close to production those mules really are.

I reserve judgment until I actually see a brochure/picture of the actual, finished production vehicle.

Re: More Rumors

Based on these photos, that photochop appreas to be somewhat bogus. Definitely a shorter front over hang though, which to me was the one thing that I didn't like about the concept after seeing it in person. To me that means less weight. I personally like the more compact look too, can't wait to have one in the garage!

Re: More Rumors

I was tired of guessing. So I have a 1/18 scale diecast of the Challenger on my desk and I put it in front of my computer screen and compared it proportions with the pictures from Jalopnik. It is very easy to compare and I think that the Challenger on the Jalopnik pictures has the same front end overhang as the concept...but that the rear overhang on the pictures is shorter than on the concept. This is why the front overhang proportionnally appears to be shorter on the pictures. In my opinion this is great news...the Challenger will be shorter (less weight) and will have a more "pony look" short rear with the same front end as the concept! I think we are all driving ourselves creasy with anticipation...the real challenger might very well be even better proportionned than the concept!

Re: More Rumors

I believe the front overhang is shorter, but the car will still look great!

Check the side views below...

Also, the creator of the photochops & animated Gifs has another based on the latest spy pics:

Re: More Rumors

YOU ARE RIGHT AND I AM UNHAPPY ABOUT THE CAR! I am trying not to see the obvious. Chrysler is slowly but surely pushing me out of the Dodge dealership! As far as I am concerned and I can see, Chrysler had changed the proportions. In my eyes, the concept was a steak and Chrysler is showing me cold cuts! I am loosing my appetite for that car! Like a lot of car buyers..I wanted to buy the concept..it is that simple!
