Re: New Car and Driver issue with Challenger preview
They better not make the Challenger a hog! I'd still buy it... but they can do better than 4k. And I'd also imagine the $35k price is for the SRT-8 version. I think the current "Challenger R/T" prototype when produced will probably be the SRT-8 version. I'm still crossing my fingers that the "R/T" badge comes w/ a 6.1 HEMI and $28k. But in all reality I just don't see that happening.
Re: New Car and Driver issue with Challenger preview
guys this information from C&D is just plain wrong. it will be a little under 3 inches SHORTER than the current 300/Charger. Coming in at 197.8 as opposed to just over 200 inches for the LXs. But it is larger than the original Challenger. The wheelbase is a full 4 inches shorter than the LXs as well.

Good Point !, Looks like the Challenger could be Lower and Wider than the current Charger.
Re: New Car and Driver issue with Challenger preview
In their article they point out that the challenger is longer than the 300 and old Challenger to point out the "overhang" past the wheels to get the retro look. They are technically right because the 300 has very little overhang and is even shorter than the Charger.
