In hemidakota we trust. You will come to learn that the stuff he knows is pretty accurate and reliable.

Also note that the ET's were with a straight Magna exhaust system, not even close to a production version.

I just got it Friday and was a little bit dissapointed. The photos looked awesome. However, they estimate the curb weight not much lower than the Charger's at 4100 pounds and it will be longer than a 300C! That's a freakin big car! I was hoping for something shorter than the new Mustang, which looks pretty long, in my opinion.
The estimates for performance were 0-60 at 4.5, 1/4 mile at 13 flat and top speed, drag limited to 174mph. All from the 6.1L 425hp Hemi.
If it does 0-60 in 4.5, 1/4 mile in 13 and has a top speed of 174 mph, where is the problem with weight and dimensions ?

I don't think we can expect that kind of performance in a production Challenger. By the time D/C gets finished with the exhaust & rear end ratio I would think you could expect to add another second to the 1/4 mile ET's.
Also, I believe the coment regarding the cars length is in error. The Challenger should be somewhat Shorter than the 300 & Charger.

There is absolutely no way on earth this car will have a 14 second 1/4 mile time (6.1 HEMI version I'm speaking of). That I will guarantee you. Also keep in mind that Chrysler is always conservative with their performance numbers. You do realize that some of the current SRT-8 vehicles with this same engine are running high 12 second quarter mile times bone stock???
