General DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the new Dodge Challenger concept. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
I went back and looked a the photos and unfortunately there is no picture of the drivers side quarter panel. I wonder where the gas fill will be?
Well, I'm not up on any possible governmental restrictions or mandates, but would hope and presume the gas filler would be on the rr where it used to be: with at least the OEM type of locking cap as an option !!! The 2006 Concept as you probably know is accessed through the HEMI license plate fixture and most probably would not be a good idea to have there on production and/or for [today's] safety !

We should see a chrome racing gas cap on the rear quarter panel for the production Challenger.
Michael Castiglione, the designer, said in an interview that he did not have enough time to design a racing gas cap (like the 1970s Challenger) because of the deadline for the 2006 auto show.

So are you sayng there will be a R panel gas cap, or simply that there should be in your opinion.
Your second statement seems to me an early "out" for didge, regarding the gas cap. In other words, "I didnt have time to design something as simple as a gas cap. so its on the side with a locking door, just like every other auto out there.
Come on guys, this is America. The car comes full of gas from the factory. When it runs out of gas, YOU TRADE IT IN for a new one!
Things have changed [I guess] ! I always thought new cars came with only a quarter of a tank . Yeah-ha-a that way a few of us could get a good deal on a used 2008.4 Challenger...That'll work !! !
Here are a couple of additional pics for your gallery:
These photos had to be released intentionally. I read somewhere that Ford did the same thing with the redesigned Mustang.
As far as the B pillar goes......I'm just thankful they're building it. We'll just have to wait to see the final production model before deciding whether to purchase one or not.
You know, I haven't seen many Busch cars with doors and door handles...
Oh Y-ahhhhh ,I see what you mean !!! Well, maybe they are pre-Busch Series test vehicles; or Super Stock Prototype Test vehicles. ..so different personal can more easily get in and out and not have to 'crink'
up there backs !!!!!!!! { I mean it's one thing for guys to snake into a weld-door car,but I kind of chringe when thinking of a woman having to snake her way into a race vehicular !!!}

Right now I'm a go.
Well, someone it appears did some shopping at the Home Depot : oops !! P.S. I think I might know the first name of who took those pictures ,but I better not say ! In fact I may have just said too much !!!
Geez, instead of saying "Awesome, we are seeing the Challenger on an assembly line" everyone is whining about the freakin B Pillar and crying about how they may just have to rethink their Challenger purchase. Fine, go out and buy a Mustang. Me? I am just FREAKIN happy to see DCX is still moving forward with this car in this age where everyone worries about gas prices but have no problem stocking up on $1-$2 bottles of WATER.
