New Introduction

Hi. My name is Chuck. I just thought I'd introduce myself.

I am really looking forward to my new Challenger. I am the first one on the list here in Reno to get a new Challenger. They say it's going to sell for about $42K for the SRT8. I can't wait! I'm driving my wife and my co-workers crazy! I've been waiting since I first heard it was coming out, and have had the countdown clock on my computer at work since it started.

They just changed the Dogde.com site to say "Challenger- It's ON!" "Pony up, get ready to roll!" Go check it out!

Mine will be the color of the concept car. (orange)

Have a great night!

Re: New Introduction

Something like ...If the production Challenger is a "fat pig", the Camaro will blow the pig`s doors off!

Re: New Introduction

It's pretty easy for me to say nice things about Chevy's, since I grew up with them. My dad had a '72 Chevy truck with a 396. My first real Chevy was a '69 Z28, 427 with a Muncie 4-speed. I can't tell you how many times I was pulled over in that car! I have also always been a big Cuda fan.

Originally, I watched the Chicago auto show around the end of '05, (I think), and I heard the concept Camaro would be there. I taped it on my DVR, and that's when I saw the Challenger in the background. I was hooked! I went on the internet, and tried to find whatever I could, and found that it was already there, and absolutely HUGE! I think at that time they were asking for 50,000 approval votes, and when I tried to vote, they had already passed that # by a long shot. (That didn't take long at all!)

I think the Camaro looks like the Cadillac STS, and I don't like the new design at all. If the Camaro looked as good as the Challenger, I'd be on the list for that instead.

I really think Dodge nailed it with the new Challenger design.

Have a great weekend!

Re: New Introduction

Hi all

New to this website. Looking forward to the new Challenger. I currently have a 70 Challenger R/T hemi orange, black interior with pistol grip. I was wondering if anyone ever rebuilt there hood hinges by putting new rivets in them? Thanks and this looks like a great website.

Re: New Introduction

HI R/T383 I had a 1970 Challenger 4sp 340...great car! If it had a HEMI...would be even better. Sorry, never put new rivets in hood hinges.
