Ummmm...it might not be a good idea to buy a car that was built after a long break. People used to say not to buy a car built on a Monday.

Here we go again! I cannot believe what Chrysler and Dodge are doing with the sale and delivery of this car! Worst of all the media either knows nothing about this or don't care because they might lose advertising monies. But that can't be because Dodge is doing no advertising as I can see. Well then maybe its NEWS to break about how Chrysler and Dodge just may be in colusion with thier dealers to control the supply of the Challenger there by helping the dealers control the price IE price gouging called " Regional Price Adjustments " Ha Ha yea my a#s. I ordered a 2009 back on the morning af May 13th , 1 day after ordering opened and for the last 3 weeks I've been stuck in "D " status and when I will reach "D 1 " status who knows, and thats when you are supposed to get your VIN number and the car is scheduled to be built.
Well I e-mailed ABC and NBC last week to the news department and nothing yet and I doubt they will do a thing news wise. But this is the way the 2009 buyers were treated and so will we be. I'm sure and it STINKS. All I can say is I still want my 2009 R/T and will just sit here and maybe sniff some glue , or smoke something or turn to drinking to wait out this lousy delivery system of Dodge!!!
Sorry for the rant and I feel better now thanks for listening, Locomotion

Nah... but, it should be required by law to attach to the car's VIN if anyone said "Aww.. someone have a case of the Mondays?" to anyone working on that car. That would be a car to steer clear of...

Brampton Builder, what, if you can say, is the daily build capacity at Brampton and are builds being equally distributed between Challengers, Chargers and 300s?

Loosely translated: Because Chrysler will not get into a situation where they have tons of built, unsold 300s and Chargers sitting outside on the fields of Brampton; if dealers do not order their full allocations of Chargers and 300s, they cannot build enough Challengers to meet demand.

As some of you know I cannot give out specifics on future products, build numbers or any company secrets etc ( I want to keep my job ) .If you want to ask me about will an srt rim fit an rt I can answer that (if i know the answer - I am just a line guy ) I just joined up to see what the owners of these cars think about them and to show that we the line guys are very proud of what we build . All I can say is that building this 2 door is a lot more intensive than the 4 door and because of this you need to have a mix of 4 doors in with the 2 doors not because Chrysler wants dealers to sell 4 door cars. If we could just run all 2 doors we would .

Is that close enough?
Is what I am saying is build the ones to meet demand, not the ones for dealers lots hoping for demand.

I would never want you to jeopardize your job. God knows the economy is tough everywhere - asking anyone to join the ranks of the unemployed for the sake of a little inside information would be foolish.
We understand you have no control over what gets assembled. I'm just a "cog" in the gears of my employers machine too. What frustrates us is that it seems the "executives" at LLC - or Brampton - have put "Ebay fodder" ahead of firm order cars on the line ....... SE's being listed on auction (over MSRP) instead of our cars going to the front of the line.
If Dodge doesn't smarten up and add to their bottom line with order fulfillment for closed deals instead of shipping "Ebay rape bait" to the dealers, a lot of UAW and CAW workers could end up unemployed anyway because of fiscal mismanagement.
If I have a construction business (an industry that's currently struggling economically) and have a dozen "roofing jobs" lined up for customers who've given me deposits to deliver my services, why would I forego those "guaranteed jobs" that could immediately put cash in my pocket for building birdhouses that I HOPE I can sell? "A bird in the hand...... "
That's what we're complaining about, certainly NOT the car you guys are building. With VERY few exceptions, we've heard nothing but praise for the Challengers coming out of Canada. Makes us want ours even more - and as soon as possible!
