How do you know that... the dealer could have used two salesmans names to list them as sold. i.e. fool the system.

It isn't uncommon and happens a lot.

By the way still at "BX", whoppdi freakin dooo!!!!!!, geez, I may actually forget how to drive a stick till this gets built, , okay probably not.
I've had several dealers tell me allocations are matched to VONS the second week of each month around the 13th.

BUT..

heck you wait 3+ years, screwed on 2 2008s from 2 dealers, they have the balls to call you 2 months after the cars hit the streets after telling me that I did not make the list and was going to be at MSRP. Now they call want MSRP +10k!

I ordered an 09 srt 6spd etc am in the 1st 100 orders in the US and have played the whole Mountain state screw you guys you will be lucky to see your car by xmas, and so we build se's 1st?

Great good for the dealers, so now they can sell them 10k over on ebay too.

Ya I am pissed. Glad I will see my car when it is -20 below 0 so I can park it another 4-5 months.

Thanks Dodge my money is no good I guess, but if I was a rip off dealer I would be good right?

Gee why do we want to put the cream of the crop car loving guys to the back of the bus?

We are the reason the car is built. The Challenger Enthusiast. Not the dealers. Hell you are correct, they will sell boxes of cereal, lumps of coal, what ever makes a buck. I just want my car.

Sorry to rant but this is very disapointing to an SE 1st then see them on the bag asap too.

yeah Mike, what Notsure said. They may have "fooled" the system, but how do you explain the fact that a nearby dealer lists 16 SE's in dealer stock? Whether the dealers are using salesmens/womans names to secure sold vehicle or not this doesn't change the fact that this is not the way orders are supposed to be filled. My dealer says she is calling her rep to discuss this practice.

We all knew they were going to build v6's first. That has been said for a long time now. We all also know that there were issues with the 6 speeds and the hemi's. We've all heard there were delays. Obviously they are going to build the cars the CAN build... thus you have lots of V6's coming out.

By the way, putting out a bunch of V6 models now is smart considering the press got on them a bunch about it being a "gas guzzler". There was high demand so they filled it.

We are all waiting... the car that may be for me got dumped down to C from D last week. Deal with it. It isn't the end of the world, you will get your car.

There is nothing wrong with dealers listing a car as a sold vehicle... that is how it works. If you want a car for stock quick, you list it sold. Normal practice.

There were delays for the 6 speeds, did you think they were not going to build any cars until they got the 6 speed problem figured out just because your 6 speed was supposedly ordered first? Maybe the dealer near you put in those 16 V6 cars before your order? Lots of variables. Sit back and relax, it'll be worth it in the end. Annoying a rep isn't going to get your car built any sooner.

Mike

On this SE on ebay, which includes this option, the seats look like cheap pieces of crap. Yet another misleading part of the Dodge website. (Like the "Price as Show" caption on the site (up until last week) which said $21,995 below a picture of what was clearly an (+$31k) R/T with the 20" wheels.) It's amazing how the very people who are supposed to know more about these cars than anyone seem to know nothing. I hope it's not too late to change my order.

For $40k, you think they could accurately show what they're selling!

Sorry for the rant.

I actually like the grey insert seats based on that same car from ebay. I do agree with you about the dodge site though. Those seats are not the only thing that is misleading. Instead of actual photos of the interior it appears they just used a CG rendering. If you look at the fabric "photo" it looks like shiny leather. . . Also the colors tend to be way off. Select torred and you get some dark red barely different than Redfire metallic. Plus every pic of Deep water blue I've seen is completely different.
