General DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the new Dodge Challenger concept. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
Bob Frederick last indicated the tentative build date was in September for the SEs. I doubt that the SEs have been moved up to August. Remember, we were seeing 2009 prototype cars cruising around before the first 2008 even popped out of Brampton. Seeing an SE now isn't necessarily indicating that it's just about to be built. I would suspect Bob is dead-on with a September start for SEs.
They have build and price for the 09 on the Canadian site. The prices are out of sight. And when you print off the information, it says it is an 08 not an 09. But there is no 6 speed in the 08. Follow the bouncing ball.

GM just announced an across the board $1,000 price increase. I wonder if Dodge is looking at its raw material costs and pondering a similar increase for the R/Ts and SEs? As you know, the SRT went up $2,000 from 2008. That is the only logical reason that I see for Dodge not posting the official prices on its web site.
Im betting your right on with this theroy!
The costs will just keep rising as they have now for a few years nothing is a bargin anymore!
GM is in some serious trouble!

GM is raising prices on all '09s by 3%. Last week Chrysler announced it was increasing prices on remaining '08s and '09s by 2%. Both increases are due to the increased cost of steel and other commodities.
