General DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the new Dodge Challenger concept. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
The vipers are so cool but so impratical they do feel cramped with out a doubt,Plus they had no tracion control at all.
Bump the throttle in a turn and your curb bound every time.
My buddy had a 94 new and it literally scared the be-jesus out of me when he drove.
The side pipes really caught my eye and my pant leg many a time but the coupes in Blue with the white stripes now that is a drool fest in the making.
I really like the older style when they really stood out from anything out there at the time.
Great cars for the buck that was forsure!

I like how the GTS flows its body lines front to rear - exactly like snake scales overlapping each other - indeed a droolfest ! One of the sexiest all-time cars !
But you are right , they are very unforgivable on throttle response - I've seen then on an autocross against WRX's and BMW's - you realy need to know the car , and even then .... kinda like the pre-'96 Porshes 911's - a true driver's car not many can handle

...my business partner has a 96 Viper with 900 RWHP.....scarey is the word...it ran 9.90 with Jason Heffner (Heffner Performance) at the wheel...it was the worlds fastest Viper, at least until the next one Jason built....I drove it a couple of times, like sitting on a rocket....I felt like the guy (Dr. No ?) in the James Bond movie (really old Bond movie)
...I had 2 94 Vipers, one stock, one not....they are a fun car, but the side pipes get a little old....my black one had a highly modified exhaust(loud) and it was deafening on the highway....when parked by a curb, the side exhausts will blow leaves, dirt etc up in the air and inside the car...they are crude, but alot of fun to drive...they leak water horribly...took one to the MOPAR Nats many years ago and it was raining, we had towels on our laps to try to keep dry....still fun, even with all the quirks....I've owned quite a few of the Gen II and Gen III, I like the newer ones better, much nicer cars
perhaps more sophisticated , but not as sexy IMO - I like curves like on a women with that '96 GTS heheh
