Nitrogen Tires - Top off with Air?

Ok I know the issue of 100% nitrogen instead of air (78% nitrogen) in tires is considered a waste of money and provides no real benefit to the daily driver. My research concludes the same. However, when I took delivery of my R/T, the dealer had put 100% nitrogen in the tires. I really don't care either way.

But, here is my question for the experts: If over time a tire is slightly low when I take a pressure reading, is it ok to fill the tire with simple air? Thx

No, your car will burst into flames and God with smite you...

besides that no, mixing nitrogen with air won't do squat. Like you said, air is already 78% nitrogen.

Re: Nitrogen Tires - Top off with Air?

I fill my tires with helium

Just top them off. Heh wouldn't it be horrible if you had to pay $5 every time your tire pressure was low?

Re: Nitrogen Tires - Top off with Air?

I just hope your dealer didn't try to charge you for the nitro filled tires.

That "dealer add-on" is worth exactly NOTHING and there is no way you will ever know if he did fill with nitro or not.
