No PCP for me - B5 SRT on deck.....

Well, instead of waiting for my PCP Classic RT, my dealer worked a trade out on the B5 SRT "Spring Special" he just got in. B5 is what got me started down the road on a new Challenger and the temptation was just too much. I really loved my HO RT 6-speed and time will tell if the same feelings grow for the SRT. Good luck to all of you waiting on PCP - I am certain it will be beautiful.

That's cool. You'll be trading in that B5 blue SRT8 towards a sublime green 6.4 in less than a year or so don't fall to in love with it LOL. I know the waiting for a plum crazy is driving me nuts and I myself am second guessing whether I should change my order from Classic to SRT8. Time is running out and so will be my wallet if I can't hold fast LMAO.
Good luck with your B5! Now you'll have to change your car at the registry.

What he didnt say is this..I was with Wulfgar when he signed the papers today..he left the B5 at the dealership today. His HO was at home and it was raining today. But I told him this as we drove away..no way in hell do I buy a new Challenger and it sits on the dealer lot the first night. She is pretty though and they will get her all shiny tomorrow which is supposed to be clear.

There is now a order in for a PCP that doesnt have an owner, I am sure if someone wants to pick up his order the dealer will change the name on it before it is built so your name will be on the sticker.

USPonycar, I struggled with the same decision. When Debbie asked why the hood on my 1/18 scale PCP Challenger was black, I explained to her what the SRT was. She said I should go with the SRT. But, for basically 75 horsepower and upgraded brakes, I can't see spending $7500. And the GGT really galls me. With a tune and a few mods, I can get my R/T over 400 HP, and that's good enough for me.

Welcome to the world of SRT's, my friend. I saw this car a few weeks back and it's a beauty.

You read my mind. I'm looking at 1" drop black 300 SRT wheels on my B5 SRT.

Either way, plum or B5, you will not regret the SRT.

You'll soon feel the love for the SRT8. I just made the same trade, only my HO RT was an auto. I didn't think I'd ever get rid of my RT, but did and love the SRT8 more and more each time I hit the happy button to start her.

Can you tell me what the "spring special" was or is? No one at the dealer could tell me, they just knew it was on the sticker and was discontinued.

Read post#s 171-179 here: Why should I buy ans SRT8 Challenger when.....

I think we may already be @ 400 HP unless you're talking at the wheels!
