Paying at the Pump...

Sorry to bring up the depressing gas prices -

Just had to share that Premium Gas is now $4.37 on Long Island, New York.

Well, with Memorial Day next week and the start of summer I'm sure it'll be up at least a 1/4 more then no doubt up to $5 a gallon.

So to fill up the 19 gallon SRT tank today it's $83.03.

It's too bad that Challenger can't run on it's good looks alone!

Looks as if I'm going to have to get a little bit more creative with my financing. Now that I've ordered the car I'll be shopping for financing. I'll be putting down more than half, but we're going to need a lot more pocket change to be driving this machine around so I may need to take a longer term. I usually like to do 36 months, but yikes...it may be 72 months for me.
Then again, I just HAVE TO HAVE THIS CAR so I'll quit complaining. Like I always say, IT IS WHAT IT IS, but why it has to be this way is beyond me.

Re: Paying at the Pump...

I didn't realize gas was THAT high in Long Island, i just talked to family back there (Merrick) on Sunday and they didn't say anything.
I second the credit union thing, also if you belong to State Farm, they are very competitive with their rates as well, i've used them twice.

Re: Paying at the Pump...

I'm here in Syosset and they are just robbing us! I'm also in the market for new car insurance for my other cars, I just got rid of a car, so I figured now was a good time to start with a clean slate! So much to do! Thanks...was planning on calling State Farm.

Here in Canada, I stopped filling my truck; I just cut it off at $100.00, and call it close enough !!
BTW, U.S. and Can. dollar are close to the same.

Re: Paying at the Pump...

Man that stinks! The worst part for me is I only can drive 275 miles on that $50! I'm always filling up.
