Petition for Hemi Orange option in 09 SRT

Now that I have learned (much to my surprise ) that apparently Hemi Orange is not going to be an option for us 09 SRT fans, I am truly disappointed. I can't believe it is a R/T option and not SRT.

I would like to start a petition and tell Chrysler that this is a huge mistake. I am not sure what the best way would be to do this. IE do we just get people to post to this thread saying this is the combination they seek or what. Perhaps a moderator can post here explaining what may be the best method to get Chrysler's attention.


Maybe if I put a bunch of smiles in my post, that will get attention. LOL

Well, I can and will sympathize on this one ;brother ! I think this might be to in a way protect the "status" of this first run /first year model either for integraty or value i.e. like the 1970-71 models that are drawing huge sums ! Also, I seem to recollect that colors were changed minutely from year to year . You could send a hand written letter to R&D, perhaps even to Nardelli. I should do this for similars reasons and/or ideas I've had : but I ly just don't [[ looking for that embarrassment symbol]] !!!

I think the 2008 SRT's should be special and have no problem with this. And no, I am not getting an 08.

I'm not sure that integrity or value of the car after Dodge sells them to us would be as much of a concern to Dodge , as additional Dodge sales of more of these cars would be.
I will be the proud owner of a 08, though I don't know what color yet. I believe the Hemi Orange should continue , and that this would only do Dodge good. It is after all "Hemi" orange. I would back this petition.
I do wonder though ; if Hemi Orange continues, would one of the other colors then have to go? I'm not very familiar with how the line works.

I love HEMI orange! It is a "gotta have it" for the 09 SRT8

I ,among others - have been strongly suggesting that high impact colors of yore with stripings do make production in a rotation style every month or quarterly - keeping a run of 5-6 colors and alternating .
I'm somewhat bummed with the 6spd R/T running on Premium , I thought the Hemi Orange was not making it until I read here , no stripings ...... for sure I'm waiting that these appear as options and I catch a REAL low-ball deal !!!

I'd sign a "Hemi-Orange for 2009 SRTs" petition. If they want to retire the color, fine. But don't offer it only on the 2009 R/Ts.

maybe they're retiring the Hemi Orange on the SRT's and passing it on to the little brother R/T ....

then coming up in '09 with an exclusive SRT Go Mango ! Hopefully Lime Green too , etc.

Man I should be working at Dodge as an Enthousiast Representative - for us all - this way we get what we all want heard and produced !

I, along with a lot of you others am extremely disappointed that Dodge stopped putting the Orange on the SRT8's. I dont want to complain because Dodge has done such a good job with the car itself let alone adding a 6 speed, trak-loc, and 3.92 gears. This car was built to be HEMI Orange though and for people like me who were holding out for the stick and an orange paint job, it kind of sucks. Now I understand they probably want the 08's to retain some kind of 'limited status' but shouldn't that mean they also stop silver and black? Given most were Orange, it still isn't fair. Anyway I'm done ranting but if your like me, write to Dodge at:
