Plastic Trim warping in the cold

A few days ago when it was in the teens here I noticed that the black trim on the trunk lid that surrounds the tail light was slightly warped downward almost 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch at both edges. Now that its warmed up a bit its not as bad but it is there still. Anyone else noticed this?

Yes! Mine got so bad that it caused the bumper to warp as well. I took it in to the Dodge dealership near where I live, and they stated that it was a known issue. Normally they just have to replace the black plastic trim, but in my case they are going to have to replace the bumper as well. I would get this taken care of as soon as possible if I were so that you do not have to face the same fate with your bumper.

I would still like to see a PIC of the area...does not matter if its showing the warp or not. Just something to keep an eye out for.

Re: Plastic Trim warping in the cold

That isn't good at all and should never happen. I hope this is isolated but thanks for bringing to our attention. Something to keep an eye on for sure.

Thanks,
James
