I am sure that DCX is closely watching the pricing of its competitors. When the Challenger is finally released in April 2008, it should come in no higher than the Chargers (i.e., R/T= $30,215 & SRT= $38,000), otherwise it may be in trouble with its sales.
For example, as alternatives, if you have $25,000+ to spend, you can buy:
2007 Ford Mustang GT (300 hp)= $25,140
2007 Ford Shelby GT500 (505 hp)= $42,900
2007 Corvette LT1 (400 hp)= $44,170
2009 Camaro SS= ?
I want the Challenger to be a big success its first year so that it will have a long run and produce even more exciting models, especially in 2010 when the new LC/LX chassis is introduced. Possibly, a 2010 6.4 L 'Cuda with a shaker hood??
