Production Job 1 2008.75 Challenger SRT8

When do you guys think real production Challengers will go down the line? Any inside lines? Looks like the last 8 of the vin will start with 8H_ _ _ _ _ _. Making them more of a 2008 than 2009.

They'll be near retail-ready models but still considered "pre-production" as they have already been built, ahead of the Job 1 "volume" launch date.

I believe the Brampton plant is on a 2 week layoff right now as they are making some modifications for the new production. The people from the third shift are also being shown their options for the future as their layoff date is 2/29.

Concept vehicles are neither sold nor destroyed. Most have a long life after their initial reveal. Concepts, regardless of their age, are still hot properties for various consumer shows. They create such a buzz when revealed and many are so futuristic that they tend to have quite a long shelf life. As such, they are sent to various auto shows as well as consumer events sponsored by Chrysler.

Many of the pre-production models are leased to Chrysler executives with many being part of "Fast Feedback" programs used to report glitches and other info.

Don't executives get enough perks ? I also am just trying to envision an executive taking the time ,with enthusiasm to fill out a Chrysler "glitch form" !! Ummm, why can't pre-productions { Challengers and other potentional retro icons } be "loaned" to Challengertalkers? We are the ones most capable and affected [ by design, tweaks, and other things that most are very familiar with/knowledgeable about .P.S. I wonder if an executive was ever given a manual Pre-production that did not know how to shift stick ???
