Question about Super Pak Track on 2013 R/T Classic
OK so I got my new Challenger last week, and one of the sticking points when buying it was I wanted the Super Pak Track (thanks to reading posts on here).
A few mins ago I was showing off the car to a co-worker and I was looking at the tires. I found that they were Firestone tires instead of the Goodyear tires that the sticker said came with the Super Pak Track.
So my question is other than the tires how can I tell if it has the STP package? Also if it does have everything else which tires are the ones I want? I read people complaining about the Goodyear tires and wasn't sure if the Firestone's were better or not.
I am a bit concerned about this. I don't want to be ripped off from the dealership. I do not believe it was their fault because it came from another dealership about an hour before I got there to pick it up. That being said I wouldn't put it past someone to miss it during assembly.
My shocks are yellow and the coil is black. Also if I hold down the ESP button it does appear to turn off ESP. It will show the light indicator on the temperature gauge that it is off, and under the odometer it says "ESP Off". I left it there for a good minute to make sure it didn't turn back off. I am comparing this to another thread and I believe this is what the 2012 R/T's had when the STP was installed. I am not 100% sure though.
So am I safe to assume that I have the STP?
If so here is my other question. Am I better off with the Firestone tires, or should I point out to the dealer that the sticker says Goodyear and that is not what I have. Is there even a difference?
Just as a side note my car did have the upgraded Heritage wheels so I am assuming that this upgrade is what got the tires mixed up. IDK.

I have the F1's and I really don't have any complaints and I have driven it in snow. Can't speak on the Firestones but I believe the wheels are serialized in which case I would be concerned you did not get the wheels/tires the car shipped with. If you are holding the traction control button for 10 secs and it turns really off I believe you are good on the STP.
Heres what it says on dodge order sheet on there web site. Now if it says good year tire i would find out why it didnt come with them. I would call dodge and ask them not the dealer.

If you get the STP on the classic you get the F-1s...its supposed to be an upgrade. Based on your description of the shocks (the yellow) you definitely have STP. The F-1s came with my 2013 classic with STP.
I read in a post from earlier in the year that on the 2011 and 2012 they would use the firestones when they ran out of goodyears. I'm wasn't sure if that's the case with the 2013 as well.
At the same time I have read a lot of people complaining about the goodyears. That's why I was curious about people's opinions before I confront the dealer about it.
I mainly want to confirm I got the suspension and brake upgrades.
Black and yellow Bilstein shocks means you have the STP. Fully defeatable traction control (hold down ESP button for 10 seconds), means you have the STP.
I don't know much about the Firestone tires. I do know that the F1s are excellent. They grip really hard, and so far have 16k miles on mine, with plenty more tread to spare. Lots of guys bash the F1s but I love them. They do hop badly on hard launches, but I think that's more the suspensions fault than the tire.
Go to Tirerack, and see how your Firestone tire fairs in their review.

OP, fill out your sig completely. I had to go look at your other posts to determine if you bought an auto or 6-speed.
Since you have the Bilstein shocks then that's a good indication of having the STP on a 6-speed car. As you also found out, the Firestones are used in place of the Goodyear tires as-needed, so that's not a definitive yes or no on STP. Also, all 2011+ 6-speeds have the ability to disable ESP whether or not they have STP, so also not a definitive yes or no. The rear shocks not being the Nivomat load-leveling is your best indication of STP.
