Quote from a friend in the business

My friend and salesperson at my 5 Star dealer just sent me an e-mail

"I was just reading in one of our articles here at the dealership about the
2008 Challenger that the SRT-8 model of this vehicle could possibly sport
the 392C.I 6.4L 500H.P motor with the viper 6-speed manual!!!! Have you
heard anything about that at all?? Let me know!!!"

Good news!

Re: Quote from a friend in the business

This post brings to mind a question that has been nagging at me for a while- does anyone have any idea what direction the restyled 300C and Charger will look like? And part two of that question is what will the LY platform allow as far as changes in the exterior? I guess that I mean by those questions will the new LYs look less massive and blocky? I hope they are sleeker.
Also, that rumor I don't think is true, it appears that DCX will bypass the 6.4l and move to a 6.6l motor as the top of the line. Also, I agree with most people here that the SRT will come the second model year.

i hope the new charger will look like burningmans idea, 2nd, i do not want to see an srt model, i do not like name, i want to see a base model, SE, T/A, and of course R/T for the challenger! if we're going to stay true to its roots, this is something i definitely want to see.

I agree whole heartedly, stay true to the roots. some power would be nice, cars have just been too weak for too long.
