General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
I just installed this Radar Detector mount in the Challenger, I ran a wire into the mirror to plug up the detector. I had to drill a couple extra holes in suction cup bracket that came with the whistler detector to make it work. The Mount is very well made and was I snap to install. It sure beats the detector setting on the dash with a wire run to the power outlet. If your interested check it out at: BlendMount Forum - Powered by vBulletin

It is good to know that that mount will work with the Challenger mirror. Another member ordered a similar mount and it would not fit behind the mirror at all. I looked at that mount once before but made one that uses double sided tape. I like the idea of no tape and screws holding everything together better.
Could you possibly post some pic's of the rear of the mirror so we can get an idea of how well it fits ?

Will do, I can tell you it fits perfect. The mount has so many adjustments I think it would work with several different detectors.

Harley, I just checked out your pics looking for the radar detector details and I gotta say I like the garage!!!!!! Mine is filled with classroom STUFF and kayaks. Awesome home for the toys!
I had a V1 mounted in my old G35S a while ago. What I did was just use the suction cups that came with the detector to mount it up and to the side of the mirror. I didn't know about the mirror splice at that time so I ended up running a wire through the headliner, down the pillar and into the back of a cig lighter port. with the mirror splice, it would be real easy to do.
Now I know the suction cups sound flimsy but I had it installed that way for years and it never came off. Also, since it was to the side of the mirror, it was barely visible from outside and being so high up helped detection range a lot.
You could certainly make a couple of bucks installing those baby's at events & car shows. Looks nice!

What wires did you tap into on the mirror? I'm installing a V1 tommorrow.
It's been a while now. The best I remember I purchased a short wire on eBay that plugs into the radar detector, it has a pos. and neg. that were color coded. I just slipped the ends of the two wires beside the wires that are connected to the mirror.
