Report: Dodge to build just 5,000 Challengers in first year

Eff it, Im getting tired of not knowing what the freaking thing looks like, options, colors, motors, tranny.

If they dont hurry up, my money is going to a 2005 Viper thats smokes the Challenger(and ferrari, and the Porsche, etc etc) anyways, and only cost $10,000 more.

Yesterday we were told we should have our first Challenger in April 2008.
Poway Dodge is not going to mark this vehicle up $40,000 like other dealers are considering doing. The owners I work with are pretty fair. Thanks for the warm welcoming

I think the thing that erritates me the most is I read that the first run of challengers are going to be automatics???What happened to the 6 speed??? Darkstar

I know, I know, dealers know NOTHING about future cars.

With that said and out of the way, I was talking to the sales manager of a local Dodge dealer today, and he is all excited about the 5000 Challenger SRTs that are coming out, and said that there will be a FEW 6.4Ls floating in the group. Said the reason is: MB no longer controls the actions of C, so they cannot stop a competitive engine choice (500HP) that rivals MB's "whatever" engine they have. He said the 6.4 will require big bucks, if you can even get one. This guy is fairly young, has a LOT of enthusiasm, and seems to just love muscle. Be cool if he is right, and even cooler if it means more 6.4s in the future.
