Saw a Challenger today!

My dealer called and said they just got their first Challenger in, an orange SRT8. I rushed right over to check it out. Man, is it awesome! It's everything I hoped it would be and more! To all you naysayers and whiners, all I can say is, get a life. This car is incredible.

The dealer near me in Crystal Lake, IL had an orange one on the lot last Saturday. I looked at it up close and I'm hooked!! What a beautiful car. I went in to talk to a salesman about the '09's and if he had any pricing or a brochure. He couldn't have cared less. I told him I wasn't interested in paying markup on the SRT/8 and that I was serious about discussing the '09's. He told me it was "too soon" and then gave me the brush-off. I muttered something like "you're a tool" under my breath as I walked out. I know where I won't be going back.

I had to have security escort me away from the Dodge display at the Chicago Auto Show..I fell in love with the black beauty there.

I finally got to get inside a hemi orange SRT today as I was finalizing my order for an '09. The car looks better in person than it does in the photos--an instant classic.

Well I put down a healthly down payment on a '09 sight unseen on June 24th, call it blind faith.
Today, while on vacation in the USA my wife and I got taken for spin in an '08 (chauffeur will remain nameless to protect the guilty)and now I'm a believer! Gonna harass my sales guy till my future SRT comes home.

I also saw a Hemi Orange SRT-8 today and my wife immediately changed her mind and said, she loved the Hemi Orange now when she didn't before in the photos. Ahh women! Too bad, I already ordered a black one and I love both colors. The car was beautiful but already sold to a guy that's planning on draining it of all fluids and storing it for 30 years, along with a Shelby GT500, and a new Camaro. Rich people, got to love them and hate them. And yes, the photos don't do the car justice. In person it is very awesome.

all of you guys are extremely lucky, i have yet to even see the car. But i have good faith in all of my fellow moparians. WHen you guys say it looks great, i trust that. I just cant wait, and this certainly doesnt make it any easier. lol

So true in person the car just blows you away but the pics do it no justice at all in comparison.

I was set on a silver one, but my wife liked the black. Why fight city hall? I'm surprised that she was okay with me getting one at all.
