Saw the new Red RT Challenger,Challenger Drag Packs, Photo's included
Went to the Mopar Mile High NHRA Race yesterday and it was a blast. My favorite Racer Tony Shumacher won Top Fuel (speeds at 309 MPH). Ya he drives the Army Dragster, Goes by the nickname Sarge, he who else do you think I root for?!
We meet him and then we see the 2009 Challenger Red with the Hood Scoop. Really pretty car. They als had an SRT 8 2008 Hemi Orange number 6. Then I got to meet Don Garlit... Day just gets better, and better Then they unvieled the New Challenger Drag Pack.. One painted old school (to be driven by Don garlit) and Newer Paint style (to be driven by Judy Lilly) Awesome cars!!!!! The Don and Judy raced each other, and Don won.. (In photo below you only see Don, and he is trailing Judy, but then he passes her for the win.. Then I talked to one of the Dodge Engineers who hepled with design the SRT8Challenger and the Race pack.. he said the Race packs were running around in the 10 seconds. To finnish the day and make it complete, Tony Schumacher won! made me and the kids day. We had their cousin up from Texas, (he's six) and he was in heaven all day (like his Uncle)

You didn't happen to get a picture of the interior of the red one, did you? It looks like it has red on the seats.

Those drag strip photos bring me back to 1970, when Sox & Martin were tearing it up. It sure is good to see a real Mopar back in action like the old days.

Not just red on the seats, but it looks like an embroidered logo, too. Probably "R/T".
Since that one has the Mopar hood and spoiler I guess the seats are from the Mopar catalog? I'd love to see more pictures of that spoiler. Every picture I've seen just shows a peek like this one did. Also, 2008 Challenger #6 is the one up for $10 raffle, isn't it? Zap

Around 11.0, but it is slower because of the higher elevation..They aid the week before they ran 10.0
