seat replacement

I have been entertaing the idea of replacing the front seats in my 2011 SRT. Anybody else? And if so, who makes replacements? And I don't mean racing seats.
Thanks for any input........

What kind of features are you looking for that the OEM seats dont have? Or are you just looking for diff. color, material, etc.

Thanks for the question. I for one do not find these seats from the drivers position, to be all that comfortable. There great to look at but I don't like the feel. That buldge in the lower portion even at is most deflated position is still pushing on my lower back. The sides on them stick out too far and when you shift gears the back of my arm contacts the right side.
There's other items I don't care for but.......I do love the car and I know I'm probably in the minority that feels this way regarding the seats.

I agree completely.

The seats in the 2011+ are just not comfortable to me at all. The bulge/lumbar support at its minimum setting is worse than any other car I've sat in with them on maximum, and you can't get rid of it by moving it up or down either. You can just move it to a different uncomfortable position. It makes it nearly impossible to rest your head on the headrest, which is also canted back a lot further than the older seats, making it worse. I don't see these seats preventing whiplash at all. They're like half backs with the top half just for looks.

It's impossible to make the new seats comfortable. Hoping to just get them bearable or I'll have to replace them also.

Maybe I'm just spoiled from the 2010 seats, which I loved. You could completely relax in those seats and just cruise. These new seats force you into a position of uncomfortable attention.

It's the only thing I truly dislike about the car.

I was wondering if there is a way to remove the lumbar support without changing the seat?

Please let us know what you find in your search.

Huh. Didn't know they changed she seats in '11. The '10 seats in mine are very comfortable. Leave it to Chrysler to put an end to that. Good Luck guys

Yes - the '11 seats got backrest release handles on both sides (driver's in no longer power recline, now a 6-way vs. 8-way) and the manual lumbar went to the power lumbar that moves up/down within the backrest.

Different supplier for the seats as well, the other change was using Nappa leather for '11+ and the side bolsters have a different finish/texture than the earlier '09-'10 style seat.

Well at least I'm not the only one that has noticed this. But yes, No matter what I do in the way of adjustment I just can't comfortable like I should. It's the first Chrysler product I've ever owned that the seats are a problem for me. My Ram truck makes these feel like two different manufactors.

I agree the seats in my 2011 Ram are good enough to have in the house. The seats in the Challenger are OK but not near as comfortable as the Ram. The best thing to do is floor the Challenger and the seat feels better. For long trips take the Ram.
