Smile Semi-Kill of Rice Burner

I saw this post on hemi-tech.com about a semi-kill by a Magnum R/T. It was very amusing:

"Sitting at a light.
Kid in a go faster rice burner "Hey. That thing fast?"
Me. "I guess... I've never had to floor it."
Kid. "Maybe it's not that fast."
Me. "I didn't say that. I've been challenged 5 or 6 times. I've just never HAD to floor it."
Kid. After a pause. "Oh."
Light turned green and he made a u-turn.
I guess he didn't want to take a chance of getting beat by an old guy in a station wagon."

Re: Semi-Kill of Rice Burner

That is funny. You need to be aware of these rice burners though so you don't get over confident. The power to weight ratio can embarrass some of the biggest engines. A WRX will smoke even a SRT8.

Nor should you............stock for stock........considering how much the new EVO's will be going for. Two totally different classes of automobile there.

+1....

the new evo will be almost twice the price of the dodge srt-4 caliber, but the caliber wont be far behind. price aside, the evo has awd. comparing a 20K turbo dodge to a 30k up evo is like comparing apples and oranges

i like seeing dodge give mitsubishi and subaru a run for the money, i just wish the new calbier wasnt soo damn ugly
