Service Manual

Was anybody able to get a service manual yet?

I have a service manual and an electrical troubleshooting guide for my present car and a service manual for my motorcycle.

I definitely want to get one for my '09 before I take delivery.

I've got an '09 on order, and I also wanted a Service Manual (in addition to the Owner's Manual, of course) ... i purchased the paper version, because I can't read large volumes of info on a screen.

Several hundred bucks later, and I've got a 5-volume Service Manual for Charger & 300, with a few casual mentions of the Challenger ... my advice is to wait a bit.

Several hundred bucks?!?!?!? They cost that much? I thought they are or used to be - maybe $25.00 or so at most !!!Well, I guess cars today, are so much more technicalized , complicated etc. Heck, just this Mygiggy device is hi tech; valuble piece of wizardry !!!

"used to be - maybe $25.00 or so at most "

That is for one of those manuals you can buy at Autozone. They might be good for changing the oil, but I want the regular mfg. service manual. I do all my own work, so the hundreds of $ I spend now will pay off in time.

Plus, I like to learn as much as I can about any car or motorcycle that I have.

Excellent, like to hear this ! I admire you for tackling this, you know it'll be done right and won't have to deal with dealerships and their hi-priced book rates [no pun intended]: so the couple hundred bucks [ when the "real" Challenger Manual gets out], will be well worth it ! Dodge ought to really put out only a manual for the Challenger -SRT8. Then , the 2009 complete manual for all Challenger models .

Re: Service Manual

yea i think its a great idea to have the service manuals. They go into a lot of detail with each item. I have one for my 2006 Charger SRT. That saved me well over the cost, and not to mention i know what was done to the car. I didnt have to take some mechanics word for it
