Silver HPP Superbird sighted in St. Peters, MO

This afternoon I was driving down Mid Rivers Mall Dr and a silver new Superbird passed me going the opposite direction near the mall. By the time I could do a u-turn, I lost the car.

Anyone know who owns this? I would love to see it up close.

Kevin

Last Friday night I saw an orange one in Troy, MI. It had the giant wing in back and some strange daytona like front end. I didn't really like it.

Sounds like it might have been Scott Lewis' HPP/Richard Petty Signature Series Superbird #2. I believe he is from the O'Fallon area.

The orange SuperBird belongs to Gordon Heidacker, president of HPP.

I haven't seen those winged cars, but I saw the new White/Red Daytona Baxter just got in the other day.

The SuperBird was a Plymouth- - -have I been in a time capsule? I didn't realize they were making more of them.

Was one at the Texas Mile this weekend. It is based on a 2008 SRT called a Highsmith Hemi Superbird Grizz. Was black with a 426 supercharged. The best speed i saw was 179 MPH.

HPP is taking modern-day Challengers and customizing them to look like Superbirds.

My view: it's a good way to ruin the looks of a beautiful car.

That's what people said in 1969/1970 also. It is definitely polarizing (love it or hate it), but it is supposed to be.
