Looks like the SRT 392 will be replaced with the T/A 392 for 2017. Both share the same specs. plus the T/A 392 will have a headlight CAI like the Cats but upped the ante with 2 intakes, one port in each light.

Awesome Slidd! I was afraid our trusty SRT's were heading out to pasture I guess we still have the exclusive 3 mode suspension we share with Cats. Would love to have that 2 port CAI setup though.
Yeah I really love the SRT and am hopeful they will continue it. Still a few things different from T/A 392 in addition to the suspension. Flat bottom steering wheel, seats and SRT performance pages still make the SRT unique.
I'll post the 2017 prices and options later today.
They don't feed the air box on the pre-production T/A 392 that was at Woodward. In fact the passenger side headlamp tube was hollow up front but sealed in back.
I'm waiting for real production T/As to appear so I can check this out. Very curious if it has changed.
Speaking of air intakes....I was 'thumbs up' over Shaker cars but then I saw under the hood of one a couple weeks ago at the Mopar show and it appears the air doesn't actually go in the shaker scoop? Or?
Some air actually does comes in through the shaker; there's a circular port hole in the shaker base plate that connects to a plastic air tube which routes it to the back of the airbox (which remains in its stock location). It's nowhere near as effective as the old shakers that fed air directly into the carbs, but I thought it was cool that some air does get in.
Interesting pics. Slidd. I love how how he hood scoop air is directed over the CAI. I'm guessing that setup will be available to replace my K&N. Really has me wondering how they will do the Cat like intake from two locations now.
Hmm I may hold off an getting an aftermarket CAI now if this will just bolt on to my '15 SP, getting dual intake rather than the single would be sweet.

Nice that Laguna is standard. On the intake, I'm sure a slew of 392's and Hellcats will be looking for this when the parts are available. Count me in too. Hood scoop plus both headlights? Cant wait to see the IAT change before and after.
I think I may have already, I'm not sure. A couple weeks ago I saw what i thought was a HC with black matte stripes. The color of the car was a strange dark sea mist green. I remembered thinking The Exorcist and pea soup. It looked like a flat matte finish. The car was going the opposite direction but my eyes locked onto the color because I have never seen it before on a late model Challenger. I thought it was some custom color. But now that I have been coming back on this forum and seeing the color mentioned "Green Go"... And reading your post just now jogged my memory. If what I saw was Green Go then..... WOW!! Sublime has nothing on it.
I really like the TA but they seem pricey for what you get. Of course like all Challengers if you wait for the hype to die down there will be good deals to be had. They should really focus on bumping the horsepower on this model above the standard 392. A 550 horsepower NA car that could complete with the GT350 and the Z28 would be awesome.
T/A only $4500 above R/T and T/A Plus is $4250 above R/T Plus, that's around Shaker prices and there's more standard unique stuff on T/A, the standard WRT wheels alone are worth over $1,000. The T/A 392 is only $1200 more than Scat Pack Shaker and you get 6-piston brakes and bigger tires along with the T/A stuff. I agree more power would be nice but there's a lot of value in these cars.

How? Unless it's different in the US? At the dealership I work at, neither my sales guy nor my General manager could order a T/A. My sales guy even showed me his ordering screen; it just skips from Scat Pack Shaker to SRT 392 for 2017 MY. We checked yesterday.
Still nothing. 24X package doesn't exist here. Guess I'll just have to wait. A co-worker of mine wants a Charger Daytona 392, but he can't find any info on availability either. I hate how they leave us in the dark.
I thought the intake was going to look like this, with this cool looking "shaker"style intake interfacing with the SRT scoop on the hood. The car at SEMA from last year (maybe?) looked like this. At the time, they said the passenger side tube hooked into this intake, if I remember correctly from a different article.
