That is true also, but i dont think many guys have broken their shafts without some kind of power adder on top of that. If so, its a small group.

Exactly, and the same with mechanical advantage. Which is what the 6 speed does. It gives you a higher mechanical advantage to wheels so your top speed goes up a little. I doubt its really that much. Id say 5mph tops

I think its more of the mechanical advantage gained from the 6 speeds gearing than the parasitic losses. I highly doubt you see 10hp difference on the dyno between the auto and stick. The auto is actually very efficient compared to other autos

I don't know of anyone that invested in a TC....it would certainly load the shafts too.

yea there are plenty of guys that have torque converters. They shear those half shafts easily with just a few mods. I cant imagine trying to get traction with a stall torque converter. It's too much power as is.
