Steering and brake problem

Ok guys...so I 'm driving my car down the street when I noticed the steering wheel is slightly off center. I''ve had the car since Feb and it has always been straight and level. Then I take a turn and can feel something is not right, almost like a loose turn. WHat could it be?

To add to that, when I started to brake at the light, I felt a wobble in the brakes up front.
I scheduled it to be looked at but I was just gonna ask you guys what you thought it was.

Btw I've got an SE

Me too, especially the local dealer who might try to sell me car while I get this one fixed.

If you didn't feel a rhythmic drag or pulsing on the steering wheel when going straight, one possibility for the non-centered steering wheel could be front end alignment. I had the non-centered wheel on a car of mine, and a front end alignment cured it.

Another could be the dreaded bad tie rod end.

Its doesn't pulse but when I turn it to the right slightly, the steering wheel moves and stays but the car doesn't turn. My wifes 07 G6 had a problem (2 months after purchase brand new) with her rack and pinion but it made a popping sound when she turned.

You don;t have a brake problem but it sounds like you might have serious steering or suspension issues. You should get it to a dealer ASAP. This is a brand new car??? Did you hit a curb or something? Seems weird that one day it is OK and the next day it would seem based on your description that there is such an issue. Weird.

To me it's very strange. It is brand new, I bought it in the beggining of Feb. I definitely never hit a curb or anything. I don't take sharp turns...nothing. I am going to take it in tomorrow and see what the deal is.
