Submit An Idea For A Dodge Tv Ad Youd Like To See.

I was out in the garage today changeing the oil on my cars and had a great idea for an add spot.

Just a guy standing with his mouth open the camera draws closer to his face he drools a tiny bit, mouth still agape the timelapse shows the day pass by and the sun is going down and the camera circles around the man from behind to show nothing but a Challenger sitting on the lot .

Then from out of frame two salesman walk up and one says"He's been here all day"The other just smerks and slides a bucket near the guys feet and then another drop of drool hits the bucket, and as the one salesman turns to motion the the other to leave the one salesman see's the other salesman locked in the same pose.

The remaining guy slides a bucket under his feet we see him turn to walk away,
Next shot its morning and there all 3 still standing there same positon and now there is a crowd standing behind them drooling also.

Screen goes black and then states comming in July the all new dodge challenger..
Then a trailing shot of a hemi just smoking its tires fade to black.

Re: Submit An Idea For A Dodge Tv Ad Youd Like To See.

...there was a thread similar to this on a forum a long while back....I posted my idea, and Chrysler nearly duplicated it....don't know if they read my idea, or if great minds think alike

my ad idea...

big city, late at night, deserted 4 lane street/intersection, warehouse district

3/4 front view, driver side from across the street

...older guy in his fifties, longish hair, mustache, sitting in a 1970 HEMI Challenger at the stoplight, listening quietly to Lou Reeds "Take A Walk On The Wild Side".........all at once, a 2008/9 Challenger rolls up on the right side of the 70 HEMI Challenger....his music is the same song, only much louder....the two drivers connect for a moment, giveing each other approving nods, and the older driver realizes the young driver is just like himself, as a youth....about that time, the light turns green and the new Challenger blasts off, showing its stuff, while the 70 sits still, the driver just smiling as the 08 Challenger kinda disappears as a ghost and he realizes he just relived a moment from his own youth, he then idles away...cranking up "Take A Walk On The Wild Side" on his radio

...a voice quietly says, "the new Dodge Challenger, it's not a mirage, it's at your Dodge dealer, NOW"

Re: Submit An Idea For A Dodge Tv Ad Youd Like To See.

Back when Dodge was doing a lot of ads promoting the HEMI engines in the Ram trucks, several commercials features a couple of good old boys in a Plymouth duster. They were always getting their mind blown, or for that matter, blown off the road by the awesome Hemi!! Well, I think they have paid their dues!! Those guys should be featured in a series of tire smoking Challenger ads!!!! Their motto……… “Yea, It’s got a HEMI!!!!”

In a sly and sneaky way Chrysler and DCX before could 'cruise' Challengertalk and other Mopar websites ,get an idea what a lot are saying/wanting,liking .Then have a group meeting to decide on any implimentation__ all for Free : again saving Cerberus millions of bucks. That TV comercial with that 1970 Crazy Plum and the new one couldn't have cost them too much;plus I've only seen it on TV maybe once.I don't even remember what station or show it ran from !!

Re: Submit An Idea For A Dodge Tv Ad Youd Like To See.

Here are two of my ideas:

In the first commercial, a 1970 Hemi Dodge Challenger R/T is staging at the tree. As the timer turns green the car tears down the track , and at 1/8 mile mark, morfs into a 2009 SRT Challenger, while the announcer says "Challenger- A legend returns."

The second commercial would focus on a pile of red hot lava. Suddendly the lava pile grows taller and a Challenger SRT emerges revving its engine. The announcer says, "Challenger SRT- A legend is reborn!"

I agree, a whole string of commercials featuring those two guys ..I almost forgot about them two seedy looking guys.

Its an easy job if you ask me to assemble great ad spots for this car.
Write it copy-write it asap.
Then you own it,and they have to buy it.

Another idea:

Dr. Frankenstein and his assistant are in the lab on a stormy night. Suddenly a bolt of lightning hits a raised lift at an opening in the roof. You then hear a loud Hemi engine roar. Dr. Frankenstein screams "its alive!!" The lift comes down from the ceiling to reveal a 2009 SRT Challenger.

Ive seen alot of franakenstien ads as of late though.
They should cast those two guys from a few years back in a series of spots.

Re: Submit An Idea For A Dodge Tv Ad Youd Like To See.

How about merging these two classic scenes...

You see a white SRT Challenger (Vanishing Point) tearing down the highway. Suddenly you see a sheriff's police car closing in with lights flashing and siren blaring. The Challenger pulls off to the shoulder of the road and out steps THE SHERIFF (a Jackie Gleason impersonator) who gives the driver a hard time about driving a race car (e.g., "What does SRT on that hood stand for?" Answer: "Street and Racing Technology." What do you call those stripes on the hood?" Answer: "Racing stripes," "What are those four piston Brembo brakes used for?" Answer: "Racing," "What's the top speed of this car?" Answer: "170 mph.," etc. "Exactly! I'm writing you up boy for driving a race car on a county road." []
