Super Stock Challenger at Barret Jackson

Friends camera kinda sucked, but the Super Stock Challenger was there in all its glory! VERY low key display though stuck in the corner. In fact, if you didnt have proper credentials, you could not get any closer than I was...

Re: Super Stock Challenger at Barret Jackson

Boy those were some beautiful cars at the BJ Auction. The one I had my eye on was lot 462- the 1970 Plymouth Cuda' 440/6. I loved everything about that one but would have perfered a 4sp. It went for $110k which is out of my range. Seems all I do over the past few years is read about these old muscle cars. Still have my 68 Pontiac Firebird I had in college (all original) but it's not as appealing as the Cudas or Challengers. I've been watching trends lately and was hoping thing would cool down so someone of my income (teacher) might at least have a hope of owning one. The new Challenger might make that happen.

Mike.

Re: Super Stock Challenger at Barret Jackson

I hear ya, I was stoked to see so many nice MOPARS in one place. Like you, I used to read every muscle car magazine cover to cover, but have been out of the muscle car scene for a few years.. Its cool you still own your Firebird still. When I was 15 yrs old and buying my first car I was told a "charger was for sale" I wne to check it out and it ended up being a 1971 Challenger 440/Auto RT for sale... The price? $1500.00 , yes fifteen hundred. I tried to buy it on the spot, but the owner was reluctant to sell it to a fifteen year old(this was 1885). I never did get the car and if I had, would own it too this day..Oh well, 2008/09 top o the line Challenger(??CUDA possibly???) on the way...
