I just got a response to my request. Obviously there is standard language in the response, but also obviously someone actually reads these responses and generates a personalized response.

Here's what DCX's response was:

Better hurry DCX, almost got my K1200S superbike paid off. Go ahead, be quiet, like you're not lurking here. Gotta a 5.0 H.O. T-bird. Yeah, the overhang on the front-end is way more than the concept car, but in-line with the original Challenger. Never been a problem. And to blueprint the donk? Say $5k. Just replaced the masher, new Monroe's all around under warranty. Set of springs and I am good for another 5-10 years (already 13 yrs old). Builder says he can wrench 350 hp out of a 302 without breathin' on it. So, go ahead DCX, keep your lips buttoned. A lot of good it will do my builder. Once I go there, frig U. Heck DCX, remember how looong you waited to release the first Challenger? How many 'Stangs had already left the barn by then, huh?

It has not escaped anyone's attention, you know, the effort required to hold onto third out of three US manufacturers. Forever. I might add.....

Are we NOT seeing how you accomplish this feat?

Just BUILD IT !!!! We want to BUY it.

Unfortunately, because this vehicle is still in the concept stage, there
is no pricing or production data available.

I understand everybody being in a rush for the Challenger to be brought to production considering they are already behind the 8 ball, but stop for just a minute, stop drooling and really think about that. Do you want them to rush this thing into production, only to have quality issues and other defects that have to be fixed in the years following the initial release, or would you rather them take a little bit of time and do it right? I for one, would prefer for them to do it right, rather than rushing it into production and having all sorts of little nagging problems. I'm sure they are going as fast as they can anyway to get this thing to the customers.

I agree with you, but the Challenger is based on the 300/magnum/charger platform. They are already proven to be reliable as well as the engines.

DC is usually faster to production than the other makes, but when the Charger came out to a luke warm reception, DC should have had the Challenger to market this year or next at the latest.
